Taylor Swift Special

LadyM 2022/03/13

I am happy to talk about “Taylor Swift” this time because she came from my own home town!!! I found a lot of information about her.

Taylor Swift is an American Singer, songwriter and musician. Her name is Taylor Alison Swift on December 13, 1989, in Wyomissing (Reading), Pennsylvania. That’s an area where I always drive.

Swift’s grandmother was a professional opera singer. By the age of 10, Swift was singing at local events and contests.
At the age of 11, She sang "The Star Spangled Banner" at a Philadelphia 76’s professional basketball game, and at age 12, she started writing her own songs and learning guitar.

Swift often visited Nashville, Tennessee, the country music capital of America to experience the music scene. Then Swift and her family moved to nearby Hendersonville, Tennessee for Swift's music career.

Swift got a contract with Scott Borchetta's Big Machine Records. In 2006, She released her first single, "Tim McGraw" and the song became a Top 10 hit on the country music charts. In October, 2006, her debut album ”Taylor Swift” sold more than 2.5 million copies. After that she won the “Horizon Award from the Country Music Association (CMA)” and the “Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Female Vocalist in 2007”. She kept building her country music career.

Her performances continued. In 2010, Swift released her third studio album “Speak Now”. The album was a success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and selling more than 1 million copies in it’s first week. Her single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" also topped 1 million copies in it’s first week of sales.

Swift was ranked “Forbes” magazine's highest paid celebrity under 30 in 2012. She beat Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber with earnings of $57 million.

In 2014, She released her fifth studio album “1989”. Her single ”Shake It Off" ( I think everybody knows this song!) from that album is one of the catchiest tracks of the year, reaching the top of the pop charts. Swift became the first artist to top the 1 million mark in opening week sales for three albums.

Since Swift started her music career, she has been nominated for over 500 awards, and won 324 awards. The American Country Awards , The American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Grammy Awards, and more.

Notably, she won her 1st Album of the Year Grammy for her album "Fearless" at age only 20 years old and she was the youngest winner of this award in history. Then,Swift won the Grammy for Album of the Year again for her album "1989", that made her the first woman to win this award twice!!!

Swift funds the $4 million Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville to support for children’s music education.

She is still young. I can’t wait to see what her future will hold!

I started making this site 10 years ago because I wanted to create a website linked to YouTube playlists, based on the data of the Billboard Hot 100, which lists hit songs in the United States from 1977.

In addition to performances, lectures, and stage performances in various places, we have been teaching and training musicians from amateur to major artists, working with major record companies, and producing music.

Currently, we are also teaching vocal lessons from the United States to students living in Japan and the United States using Skype through the Internet.

When returning to Japan temporarily, we receive requests for several return performances in various locations, and in recent years, lectures as well.
