Adele was drawn to the songs of Lauryn Hill, Mary J Blige, and Destiny's Child. In 2003, at the age of 15, she found CDs by Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald at a jazz antique store. She began to listen to Etta James every day, which helped her discover her own voice.
Adele recorded some demos and opened a MySpace account to showcase her songs and demos. After that, she signed a deal with "XL Recordings." In 2015, Adele released her third album, "25." The album became an international smash hit, reaching No. 1 on iTunes in 110 countries. "25" sold 3.38 million copies in seven days in the U.S., beating the *NSYNC record of 2.42 million album copies sold in a week. "25" is the only album to reach a million copies sold in the United States in 10 days. In 2021, Adele released her fourth album, "30."
