Hello everyone!! How have you been?
I’m extremely happy to talk about Mariah Carey this time!!!
I think everybody is familiar with her many hit songs like “Emotions” , “Vision Of Love”, ”Hero” , “Without You” , “Someday” , “Fantasy” , “One Sweet Day”, and especially “All I want For Christmas Is You”!!
She performs at the Rockefeller’s Christmas ceremony in New York every Christmas season. Although she is already well known to older generations, she continues to be discovered by newer generations as well.

Ok, let’s discuss more details about her.
Mariah Carey is an American Grammy Award winning singer songwriter, record producer, and actress; known for her hit song “All I want for Christmas is you” and her five octave vocal range.
She was one of the most successful female performers of the 1990s. People often talk about her “Cinderella like” success story.

Mariah Carey was born on March 27, 1969, in Huntington, New York.
She first started singing backup vocals for singer Brenda K.Starr.
In December 1988, Mariah Carey handed her demo tape to the head of Columbia Records, Tommy Mottola. He began listening to her demo tape on his car ride home. Almost immediately, he requested the driver turn the car around and to find her. She had already left so he searched for her over the next two weeks.

Mariah Carey was signed to Columbia Records and they spent over $1 million promoting her debut album “Mariah Carey”.
This album topped the Billboard 200 chart for eleven weeks.
In 1991 “Mariah Carey” was the best selling album in the United States, and her debut album sold over 15 million copies worldwide.
She also became the only artist ever to have their first five singles reach #1 on the U.S. Billboard hot chart.

Her albums are “Mariah Carey” (1990), “Emotions” (1991), “Music Box” (1993), “Merry Christmas” (1994), “Daydream” (1995), “Butterfly” (1997), “Rainbow” (1999), “Glitter” (2001), “Charm Bracelet” (2002), “The Emancipation of Mimi” (2005), “E=MC2” (2008), “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” (2009), “Merry Christmas II You” (2010), “Me.I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse” (2014), and “Caution” (2018).
Yes, I had all of her albums from the first one “Mariah Carey” up to “E=MC2 “. I even ordered her Music Box VHS from the United States. I was just addicted to listening to her songs, and I learned lots of technique from hearing her sing.

Her collaboration song with R&B group Boyz II MenOne sweet day” was on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 16 consecutive weeks!!! This song became the longest running number one song in history!!!!
I remember those moments… That song was EVERYWHERE. It was great to hear such a wonderful vocalist collaboration in that song!!! I used to listen to this song all day everyday…
Now you will hear “All I want for Christmas is You” every Christmas season throughout the whole wide world… That song became a holiday standard.

Other beautiful cover songs she has done include “Endless Love” with Luther Vandross (by Lionel Richie and Dianna Ross) and “I’ll Be There” (by The Jackson 5).

Of course she has earned many awards and honors as well. I can’t even write down all of the titles and years for them on this page but I will try. She won nineteen World Music Awards, five Grammy Awards, ten American Music Awards, and fifteen Billboard Music Awards…and BET Awards, Golden Disc Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Soul Train Music Awards… plus MANY, many more. I am speechless.
I know that she is now older, so she might not be able to sing like she used to…But I hope that we can listen to her sing and feel her presence again.

I started making this site 10 years ago because I wanted to create a website linked to YouTube playlists, based on the data of the Billboard Hot 100, which lists hit songs in the United States from 1977.

In addition to performances, lectures, and stage performances in various places, we have been teaching and training musicians from amateur to major artists, working with major record companies, and producing music.

Currently, we are also teaching vocal lessons from the United States to students living in Japan and the United States using Skype through the Internet.

When returning to Japan temporarily, we receive requests for several return performances in various locations, and in recent years, lectures as well.
